VPO Scholarship
Each year, the Vermont Paralegal Organization awards a $500.00 scholarship to a paralegal/legal studies student to promote excellence in the paralegal profession. The scholarship is administered through the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC). In order to be eligible, you must attend an accredited paralegal/legal studies program at least part-time.
The scholarship recipient is selected by the VPO Scholarship Committee, which consists of two VPO members and three non-members. The Scholarship Committee bases its selection on a combination of the quality of the essays provided, the individual's academic achievement, and financial need.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying for the VPO Scholarship, all applications, essays and forms must be submitted to VSAC by March 4, 2011.
This year, VSAC is offering an "Early Bird" special: If you submit your completed application (to include essays) on or before February 11, 2011, you will be entered into a drawing to win one of three $1,000.00 scholarships. Act now - apply early and potentially receive $1,500.00 for your paralegal education!
For more information, please visit VSAC's website: www.vsac.org, or e-mail VSAC at info@vsac.org, or call toll free 1-888-253-4819.
Incomplete applications or applications submitted after the March 5th deadline will not be considered.
Winners of the VPO Scholarship not only receive $500.00, they also receive a complimentary one year Student Membership in the VPO, and all of the benefits associated with the VPO membership.
