I have worked in the legal field since 1984 and as a litigation paralegal since 1989. I was employed with Wilson Powell Lang & Faris for nine years and with Langrock Sperry & Wool for sixteen years. I am currently employed with Paul Frank + Collins, P.C., where I assist on personal injury, workers' compensation and insurance defense cases. I am skilled at organizing and managing large complex litigation and medical cases.
In May 2000, I achieved the esteemed PACE Registered Paralegal® designation through the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. I am one of only seven PACE Registered Paralegals in Vermont. PACE (Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam) is a proficiency-based voluntary exam designed to test the competency level of experienced paralegals.
I obtained an Associate’s Degree, summa cum laude, from Bay Path College in Paralegal Studies in 1984. In April 2006, I received a CaseSoft Power User Certification from Lexis Nexis. I have been a member of the Vermont Paralegal Organization since 1991, and an Associate Member of the Vermont Bar Association.
The Vice President is a member of the Board, assists the President when needed, can field general questions about the paralegal profession, and can help direct people to the appropriate Board member who could answer a question or concern regarding a specific aspect of the VPO.
As PACE Ambassador, it is my goal to promote PACE to the membership through information posted to the website, provided in our newsletter, and to be available to any member for questions regarding PACE and to provide support to those interested in sitting for PACE.
As Website Chairperson, it is my responsibility to maintain and perform upkeep of the VPO website.
